Painted for a show where each piece is to be 4"x4". We can submit 4 pieces, so these are my four. The show is at the Overland Gallery in Kinston in August  and is called 4x4x4.

I generally do value sketches before I do a painting. This shows me where the darks and lights go and it also aids in composing the scene. Colors are considered here also and may not resemble the original scene
